Last Thursday we had an introduction of Project Ocean by Julia!!
Some Interesting Facts we discussed:
1) Current problems: 150 million tons of plastic, 20% of which are ghost fish (old fishing nets), overfishing, biodiversity.
2) Importance of the ocean: function as oxygen supplier, weather & climate regulation, among others.
3) Seagrass meadows absorb enormous amounts of CO2.
