WE DID IT! Our Rotaract Club’s Fleamarket at Theresienwiese during the Frühlingsfest in Munich was a HUGE success! Despite the cold and rainy weather, we were thrilled to see so many enthusiastic buyers and sellers come out to support our cause. And the result? We collected an amazing 270 EUR for our service event!
The day started quite early at 5am. Two of our members started the first shift when they drove to Theresienwiese, chose a nice spot and set up the stand. In the early hours, a lot of professional shoppers and connaisseurs came to secure the best things.
Later, more and more families, groups of friends and interested people stopped by the flea market to look around and have a nice day. We had a lot of fun negotiating prices and selling all kinds of stuff – from VHS over scarves to little statues – everything one can think of was there.
We’re so grateful to everyone who participated, whether you were buying or selling. Your efforts made a real difference and helped us make a positive impact on our community. Special shoutout to Francesca and our InnerWheel Club München – Residenzinitiative partners for their collaboration and support. As we wrap up this fantastic event, we’re already looking forward to more exciting service projects in 2024 and 2025! Stay tuned for what’s in store!
