The Rotaract Charity Speed Dating and Social Mixer is a social project that started in 2012 in collaboration with Rotaract München-Bavaria. Every year, we invite young adults between 18 and 35 years to date for a good cause. Participants pay a small entrance fee which is then donated to the hosting venue, the Löhe Haus München, a housing facility for people with mental disabilities.
The event usually starts in the evening. For the singles who participate in the speed dating, the session lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Other participants can get in touch with each other at the social mixer or just enjoy a cocktail or cold beer at our bar. Following the session, the evening concludes with our DJ playing his set and everyone is welcome to join the afterparty on the dancefloor.
The speed dating itself follows a very simple process: All young women sit at specific tables and the young men rotate from table to table every 3 minutes. Participants have the opportunity to meet their potential dream partners. At the end of the evening everyone hands in a feedback form with a list of people they would like to see again. If both – boy and girl – mark that they want to see each other again, we exchange their phone numbers and wish them good luck for their future. We still have some couples who got to know each other at our speed dating event in previous years and continue to be happily together.

- Charity: all revenue will be donated to the Löhe Haus
