The global reforestation would be possible on an area of 0.9 billion hectares and could absorb two thirds of man-made CO2 emissions. This would be an effective way to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and thereby stop climate change. This is the conclusion of a study recently published by ETH Zurich in Science.
We at Rotaract would like to make our contribution and help with the planting of 1 million trees. During a range of events we intend to strengthen the cooperation between Rotaract and Rotary through economies of scale, provide educational work and show you how easy it is to integrate the topic of “planting trees” into your everyday life! We will notify you about new events connected to 1MillionTrees initiative via our weekly e-mails and our social media channels.
